Prayer
Father, I am Your child, chosen by you. Prepare me to meet with Your church for worship. Help me to listen to Your voice throughout the week. Help me to understand and to remember Your word. Make me aware that I will not be meeting simply with others, but with You. Let Your presence be real to me. As I pray, may it be just like speaking with You. As I listen, help me to concentrate, so that I really hear Your word, and help me to take in and retain all that I hear, see, and experience during worship. Father, I confess my sin to You. Hear my praise and thanksgivings for Your blessings and unearned grace given to me. It is in the name of Jesus, Your beloved Son that I pray. Amen
