For infants through three years, this ministry provides loving and tender care for His Lil’ Lambs.
We are available during all regular Services and Sunday School. We have taken great care to provide the most adequately safe, healthy and enjoyable care possible. Please visit us.
Please read our binder of ministry policies and procedures. We welcome your comments and suggestions.
Parents are required to volunteer to assist during each period of ministry. The sign-up chart is on the wall beside the Nursery doorway.
Please contact Ben King if you have questions.
This ministry includes Sunday School, Children’s Church (at 10:30 Service only), and Wednesday night ministry.
Children of all ages participate at 9:30 a.m. each Sunday. Children earn Bible Store points for attendance, bringing Bibles, accomplishing memory work, bringing visitors, and for exhibiting Fruit-of-the-Spirit attitude and activity.
Please feel free to visit the classes.
The ministry for children 1st through 5th grades, on Wednesday evenings, 7 - 8:30 p.m. We have Bible lessons, fun times with games and treats, prayer time, and your children will learn how to do ministry via clowning puppetry, drama, mime, witnessing and fun activities. The goal is for children t become proficient in the application of Bible truths in their lives and to be able to express/witness these to their peers using a multitude of techniques. While every child may not excel in every avenue of ministry, they will experience each skill and develop confidence in living a witnessing life.
This group also volunteers ministry and work efforts at Betty Dare Good Samaritan Care Center for our older Christian family, and as the “Zoo Crew” once a month for caring for our four-footed friends.
Children’s church service is conducted most Sundays during the main Service, for all elementary aged children. The children are taught what the pastor is teaching you, except that the subject matter is adapted to their age level. Your child will be excused from the main service and needs to follow the children waving the flags.
For first timers, we encourage parents to accompany the children to the children’s church room. The children will then know that YOU know where they are, which makes the experience a lot more comfortable for your children.
On Communion Sundays, children remain in the main service and partake of Communion with their parents and older siblings as a family devotion.
Parents are encouraged to attend children’s church to see what their children are receiving. Some parents, adults or teens may wish to assist or teach. Please see Mr. King for an interview.
Word Warriors
This is the Bible Reading Club for children in all elementary grades. A reading schedule is published monthly. Parents sign-off the child’s completion. Every three months, or so, the children who have maintained the schedules get to go on a fun Saturday outing. The children who complete a full and uninterrupted year of scheduled Bible reading receive a special badge and a special reward. Parents and/or older siblings may assist in the readings. We encourage this because we’ve found that Family Devotion times develop and because
